EOA/WRA Support Center Moving Sale The EOA/WRA Support Center is moving from Canton (2560 Clearview Ave) to Cuyahoga Falls (960 Portage Trail) very soon and is having a huge moving sale of items we're not taking with us. We have tables, chairs, desks, file cabinets, storage cabinets, typewriters, books, videos, mailers, paper, dishes and more. You'll find something in every room as well as a basement full of things. Stop by the Canton office Monday-Friday between 8:30AM and 4:00PM to find your treasures. If it doesn't have a moving tag on it, it's not going. No specific date is set for the move, but it will probably be within the next two weeks. A few items will be in use until closer to the move date, but you can still claim them. No items are priced, but a donation box will be available. Don't miss out!
Installation for Everyone in the EOA and WRA is invited to a Service of Installation for Steven Lashbrook as pastor and teacher of Emmanuel UCC (1480 Eastwood Ave, Akron). Clergy are invited to gather before the service and process together, wearing shirt sleeves (it is July in Ohio, after all!). Rev. Linda Jaramillo, Executive Vice President for Justice and Witness Ministries, will preach. Linda will also talk with clergy and laity and answer questions about the church at the national level at 2PM. A meal will follow the service. Reservations are not required, but you may call in the number of people attending, or for more information, at 330-784-6608.
Kentucky Immersion Experience This is the annual EOA/WRA Work Camp/Immersion Experience to Lotts Creek Community School near Hazard, KY. Work in the homes in the holler; build relationships with the folks with whom we work; live, eat and play together at the school; and provide much needed maintenance. For more information and for registration forms, email Margaret Mills. |
